Having the concerns and interests of children close to our heart, we have branched out into youth sports development, especially after seeing the abysmal condition of sports in the country. As you may be aware, youth comprise almost 47% of India’s population, of which almost three-fourths of them have no proper access to organized sports and games.

In our own way and strengthened with your support, we propose to change the situation, that is, bring sport into the lives of as many children we can.

To begin with, we are focusing on football, for which we are being supported by Vision India, Project Delhi (a project of Asian Football Confederation) and internet partner, www.indianfootball.com.

Our first highlight is a tournament slated for the first weekend in May (Wanderland Cup) , where we are inviting both underprivileged and privileged teams to participate. We have already started training orphan/street/refugee kids attached to various organizations and kids from some colonies. Our experts have already helped them to form teams and we have provided them with balls. The coaching facility is underway and the kids are also being given snacks during coaching.

The entire project has a long-term vision, providing focus, direction and motivation to kids interested in the game. During the tournament we will have a scouting team, which will identify kids with talent, who will then be put through intensive, specialized training and later encouraged to join suitable academies, based on their talents. We also plan to call a football celebrity to give away the prizes and do a clinic for focused, talented and interested kids.

We believe in the power of the individuals and know that individuals collectively can make a change in society. We thus look forward to extending this programme to you for your support and participation.
